Dr. Hamid Ghafari was born in 1951 in Zanjan. He received his Bachelor's degree in laboratory Sciences from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1974.
Dr. Hamid Ghafari was born in 1951 in Zanjan. He received his Bachelor's degree in laboratory Sciences from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 1974 and then obtained his Masters of Science degree in Microbiology from University of Southwestern Louisiana in Lafayette in 1979. He received his PhD degree in Microbiology and Immunology from University of Southern Mississippi, Hattiesburg in 1983 and then attended the University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson for post-doctorate degree in Molecular Genetics between 1983 and 1986. Dr.Ghafari served on faculty at the University of Mississippi Medical Center for 12 years. He was also involved in a variety of activities on Molecular Genetics and Immunogenetics at reputable scientific institutions in Mississippi and Louisiana for 30 years. He is currently serving as a faculty member at the Hematology, Oncology and Stem Cell Transplantation Research Center affiliated with Tehran University of Medical Sciences.
